Stevie suffered from cystic fibrosis. When he died, he stood four feet ten inches tall and weighed ninety pounds. He had so much heart that his size and illness never kept him from competing in varsity sports. He was proof positive of the old adage, winning is not as important as how you play the game. The Singleton Scholarship has been given to over 31 student athletes since it's inception in 1983 and over $40,000 in scholarship monies have been awarded.
